(or similar for international team members)
The USCAA is pleased to announce the sixth annual Charity Cup Challenge in conjunction with this year’s USCAA National Corporate Cup Relays on July 21-22 in Renton, Washington. This year the Charity Cup Challenge raises funds for the American Diabetes Association®. Diabetes is a silent killer that effects 15.7 million people in the US - about a third of which don't even know it. Diabetes is the seventh leading cause of death in the US. Complications from diabetes includes blindness, kidney disease, nerve disease, heart disease and stroke.

Over $50,000 was raised by the Charity Cup Challenge for various charities over the last five years. With your help, we can make this year’s success the best ever! Get involved and be creative. It's a great feeling to know you've helped a great cause.

The USCAA supports this effort to dedicate ourselves to the spirit of service, excellence, and opportunity both on and off the track. I encourage you to enlist your team members in this year’s Charity Cup Challenge, and to start making plans for how your team can raise funds for the American Diabetes Association® in this charity competition.

You can easily create your own free online donation web page to make fund-raising a lot easier! It is really simple...just go to http://events.diabetes.org and follow the directions to create your personal or team's donation web page. For much more information on how to organize your team’s participation and for help with fund raising, download the ADA's Fundraising Manual (Word 638K, zipped 512K, stuffit 512K). If you have any questions feel free to contact Gordon Smith at (703) 337-1143.

Please join us in this effort.

Sincerely,

Donations to the American Diabetes Association® are tax-deductable as provided by law.
100% of the funds raised in the Charity Cup Challenge goes to the American Diabetes Association®
